Christmas Day

We had the most amazing Christmas this year... the kids loved it more than I thought they would.  Eme was so excited... she stayed up til 3:00 am on Christmas Eve watching her iPad... and then wanted to play downstairs in her kitchen.  When I discovered what Tanner was going to let her do... I forced both of them to sleep in the basement... below is what I woke up to on Christmas morning.

Christmas Round 1- Thatcher loved checking out all of the presents under the tree.  He knew which ones were his because they were wrapped in Toy Story and Cars paper.  After all of his were open... he started picking out all of the blue Princess ones... he opened one after another and couldn't get enough of it.  After he would get all of the paper off... he would hand it to an adult and dance (mainly a hip thrust) until they got it out of the box or wrapping.
Emerson kept pulling the funniest faces... big shocker right... but we will blame them on her lack of sleep the night before... however, we have no explanation for the hair.  She got the barbie camera and microphone that she had wanted... but somehow, it was smaller than she remembered... so disappointing... good thing Grandma and Grandpa got her this awesome "real" camera that was much bigger.  She spent the rest of the morning taking pictures of everyone and then looking at them.

Lack of sleep makes getting lots of presents... so overwhelming.

 Round 1 of presents...
After we ate and opened presents... we all snuggled on the couch and watched Brave together... loved it.

Tanner takes the snuggling to an extreme.

Christmas Round 2- Grandma and Grandpa Roberts house.  Eme loved her Minnie Mouse bike.

She also loved handing out everyone's presents.  She would hand you your gift and then say, "Ho, Ho, Ho... Merry Christmas."

Thatcher loved his toys... especially his remote control dump truck and construction site.  However... I think Grandpa liked it a little more and made us leave it so that he could play with it the rest of Christmas Day.

... and the stockings were stacked by the window with care!

Christmas Round 3- Grandma and Grandpa Purser

Loved our Presents from the Purser's... a years worth of extremely fun date nights... and a nest for our house.  Super excited about both.

Christmas was exhausting for one of us...
This was one of my favorite pictures from Christmas... Millie had just gotten out of the hospital with RSV so we told the kids they had to keep their distance... we caught Eme sneaking up to pick her up... "um... if no one is looking, I think I will just pick this baby up."  Naughty nut.
Overall... we had a wonderful day spent with the best people.  We even made it to Christmas day without getting sick... too bad it didn't last.
