On any given day... you will catch Thatcher with his finger in his nose at least a couple times... Tanner too... but normally he sticks to just his finger. However, on one of the first days it was nice enough to go out, he decided to stick something else up there. Last year we collected an entire sandbox full of mini seashells from Bear Lake. It was such a mess when we got home that Tanner just dumped them out under the tramp. On this fine day... the kids were playing under the tramp... something they love to do almost as much as jumping on it, don't ask me why. All of a sudden he came in screaming... "Mom, a seashell just flew up my nose... it had wings and everything and flew up there!" And sure enough... it was up there... way up there. I tried pulling it out with tweezers and sucking it out with my nose frida... but no luck. I was afraid that it would break into a million little pieces and then cause a ton of problems so I took him to the doctor. They had me try one other thing to get it out easily but that didn't work either... they had to use this special little tool that they have for nose issues like this. One bloody nose later and it was out. We had to have a long talk about not putting anything up your nose... or letting it fly up... but I think it is safe to say that it won't happen again.
