Don't mind the overload of pictures… but we just had so much fun on our trip that I simply couldn't eliminate more of them. We left for Disneyland on my birthday and spent the night in Las Vegas (at a very scary place)…. good news it was Halloween weekend so it was in celebration of our favorite holiday. Emerson was a huge fan of the Coke factory, M & M factory and the Excalibur castle. She even liked all of the "sexy ladies" on the strip (we didn't have the heart to tell her they were men). When we got to Disneyland… we spent the first night enjoying downtown Disney and the movie Frankenweenie. Emerson was in heaven at the Lego store and could have spent hours in there if we would have let her. The next day… Emerson had us all to herself and we enjoyed a fun filled day at Disneyland. She wanted to move into Minnie's house… Toon Town was by far her favorite part of the day. The next morning… Grandma, Grandpa and Thatcher joined us… Thatcher got to go on his very first airplane ride! That night… we got to attend the Disney Halloween party in the park and it was a blast. Lots of candy and the ride lines were pretty short. Emerson even wore her big girl boots and was tall enough to ride splash mountain and space mountain. While standing in line for space mountain… she fell asleep and we had to wake her up for the ride… nothing like scaring the crap out of a sleepy 3 year old. Her face when we finished… was priceless. The next day… we rented a van and drove to Newport beach. I think Eme was even more in heaven there than at Disneyland. She didn't want to leave. Or last day in Cali was spent in California Adventure land on Halloween day. It was by far the best day of our whole trip. The weather was perfect, the park wasn't crowded, and the parade and world of color were amazing. Emerson even got to ride the new cars ride and tower of terror… which she did twice! It was such a perfect trip… I didn't want it to end. Lucky for us… We drove to Yuma, Az for four more days to spend with Pat and Vern. This trip really was so much fun and I can't wait to take the kids back there.
Soda from around the world... Some of it was so nasty and it made Emerson question if she even liked soda anymore.
The picture above is right before riding space mountain... and the picture below is her face right after... so funny.
Our little piggy of a guy snacked on anything he could get his hands on the whole trip.
She was more afraid the second time when she rode with Tanner.
Grandma and Grandpa bought the kids camera phones and Eme recorded the rest of our trip herself by making us pose for tons of pictures.
Staring in awe at the World of Color show.
