Despite what I thought it was going to be like... Touch a Truck was a blast and Thatcher was in heaven. I guess I just didn't know what to expect. It was so cute. They had every truck you could think of: fire truck, police truck, dump truck, garbage truck, street sweeper, police swat mobile command post, swat tank, hummer, police motor cycles and snow mobiles, tractors, steam rollers, city trucks... so many fun things that the kids could climb all over. They even let them honk the horns and turn on all the lights. There was also a carnival, train, movie in the park and a very fun water bubble experience. Thatcher jumped in last minute and has never been more terrified in his entire life... it was so funny. The last thing we did was play in the giant sandbox and dig up treasures. Once Thatch found a beautiful pink ring and a sucker... he was good to go!

Oh, look at that! Thatcher couldn't hide his happiness on those pictures. Touch a Truck is an annual event that children shouldn't miss. Many, including the adults, are always looking forward to this celebration. It's one big event that gives people the chance to witness huge and unique vehicles in one place. There's a police car, an ambulance, and even a street sweeper truck. It's a very important event that shows us the roles these vehicles play in our society.
