For the kid that just can't seem to catch a break… He had another set of tubes placed in April. At his follow up appointment, the doctor noticed that his tonsils were massive. We watched them all summer and noticed that they were making it difficult for him to sleep and breath. In September… it was time to take them out… and re-remove his adenoids. Because he was so little, they recommended he stay the night… but we talked them into letting us go home. Bad choice. The next morning, when I woke up, I found him covered in blood, his entire face… body… pillow… bed… a trail to my room… it was awful. And he was still bleeding. We took him into the emergency room to find out his adenoids had opened back up… but all it took was some nose drops to fix him up. Then… at the follow up for that appointment… we found out that the lovely ear infection he had while we were at Disneyland… forced his tubes out. Time for more tubes!!!! Then he got croup which turned into pneumonia. Needless to say… this kid can't catch a break and I am hesitant to make his follow up appointment from his last surgery. He should have been seen by now, January… but I can't bring myself to make the appointment because it tends to be bad news. Here is to hoping that 2014 will be a healthier year for this kid.
Loved it when his best buds brought him a treat to make him feel better.
